Oakland Energy Analyst Opinion Dynamics Corporation, a leading consulting and market research firm with a niche in energy efficiency and behavioral research, is looking for an analyst to add to its growing Oakland, CA office. This position will assist us with conducting state-of-the-art evaluations of energy efficiency programs as well as comprehensive market assessments and baseline studies, both regionally and nationally. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, the ability to design survey instruments, clear and concise writing skills, an aptitude of thinking out of the box, and an ability to work both independently and in groups. Candidates must be able to interpret data and create substantiated research findings and recommendations. Candidates must also conduct in-depth interviews, and have demonstrated strong organizational skills since this position includes working with large electronic databases and files. Expertise with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. A working knowledge of either SPSS or STATA is recommended. Knowledge of statistical methods such as factor analysis, cluster analysis, and regression modeling is a plus. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys both quantitative and qualitative data analysis and is interested in learning new research methods and techniques. If you like to utilize both the left and right sides of your brain, this is a great opportunity. Some travel may be required. Two years work experience in a professional research or consulting environment preferred, but not required.
