Engineering Analyst Opinion Dynamics, a leading consulting firm specializing in energy program evaluation and market research, is growing. As part of this growth, Opinion Dynamics is looking for an Engineering Analyst to support our work evaluating utility energy efficiency programs. The Engineering Analyst will work with Opinion Dynamics' current electric and gas utility clients throughout the country. Primary tasks include engineering analysis and calculations, energy simulation modeling, estimation of energy impacts, organizing and analyzing metered data, conducting primary research using data collection instruments, coordinating engineering studies and field research, researching and analyzing data and technical information related to various end-use systems, and report writing. This position requires strong reporting and quantitative analytic capabilities, strong organizational skills, a willingness to contribute to projects outside of the engineering realm, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work both independently and in groups. Experience with utility demand side management programs and energy efficient technologies are a plus. Some travel is required. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with 1to 3 years of energy related experience. This position is ideal for a self-starter looking for a mid-level position that has potential for significant career advancement. The position is available in Opinion Dynamics's Boston-area office, but working in our Bay Area office in California will be considered for the right candidate.
